On December 23, 2011
Virginia H. (Holland) Andrews, was called Home to be with her Lord.
She left us all an example of grace and peace in her battle against
cancer. Born December 27, 1915 in Virginia Beach, VA she was raised
in Washington, DC, and was a graduate of the Peabody School of Music
in Washington.
Her many loyal friends come
from all corners of the world partly as a result of her work for
years with L'Abri Fellowship in Switzerland and then the Arts Center
Group in London, England.
Her work as an author left
all of us with a legacy of wisdom and love through the various books
she has written.
Soli Deo Gloria
She took great joy in the
gift of music and shared it all her life through teaching and
performing. She taught right up into her 90's. She leaves behind
many whose lives have been enriched by her years as a Bible teacher
and spiritual councilor.
She is loved and will be
missed by her family: Roger A. Lier and his wife Marcia of Andover
and their five children, Jessica (Lier) Thistlethwaite, Andrew
Carlson-Lier, Maryka Lier, Christopher Lier and David Shannon-Lier,
and Mark and Brooke (Lier) Di Cristina of Gulf Breeze, FL and their
children Mark Joseph, Benjamin and Michael.
Her Funeral Service will be
held 10:00 am, Wednesday, December 28, in the Christ the Redeemer
Church, 188 Elliott Street, (Rt.62), Danvers. Family and friends are
respectfully welcomed. Arrangements are under the direction of the
Whittier-Porter Funeral Home of Ipswich. In lieu of flowers memorial
contributions will be distributed in her name through Christ the
Redeemer Church.
