Robin J. Dolliver
Robin J. Dolliver, 47, formerly of Hamilton and Northridge Rd., Beverly,
died Friday November 9, 2007 in the Harborside Twin Oaks Nursing Home,
Danvers, following her battle with brain cancer.
Born in Beverly June 14, 1960, daughter of late John W. and Emily J. (Wetson)
Dolliver, she was a graduate of Hamilton-Wenham High School, Class of
1978. She enlisted in the US Army and served in Germany as a military
postal clerk. As a sharpshooter, she was the recipient of several
commendations. For many years she worked for the US Army at Hanscom Air
Force Base in Massachusetts, where she made the rank of Sergeant.
She
played softball while a student and during her military service, and
played on an all men’s baseball Army team in Germany. Early in her
illness she volunteered at Lahey Clinic in Burlington and was awarded a
1,000 hour pin. She was a member of the Ipswich Order of Rainbows.
She
is survived by her brother John Dwight Dolliver, his wife Donna M. of
Danvers, brother Richard Craig Dolliver and his wife Jane A. of Danvers,
and three nieces, Kelly Boisvert and her husband Paul and their son
James, of Templeton,MA; Mandy Davis and her husband Michael and their
daughter Madison of Danvers, MA and Christina Smith and her husband
Scott of Danvers, MA along with many aunts, uncles, cousins and the
staff and many friends at Harborside Twin Oaks Nursing Home.
Her
funeral service will be held Saturday November 17, 2007 at 11 am in the
Christ Church, Asbury Street, Hamilton. Family and friends respectfully
welcomed. Arrangements are by the Whittier-Porter Funeral Home of
Ipswich. In lieu of flowers, contributions in her memory may be made to
the Lahey Hospital, 41 Mall Road, Burlington, MA 01805, or to the
Make-a-Wish Foundation of
