Robert W. “Bubba” MacIntyre, 65,
lifelong of Essex, died Wednesday, October 12, 2011 in the Kaplan
Family Hospice House, Danvers following his long illness.
Born in Ipswich May 18, 1946, son
of the late Donald A. and Nancy E. (Woodman) MacIntyre, he attended
the Rufus Choate School, Gloucester High School and served with the
U. S. Navy. For many years he was employed by the Thames Dredging
Company of Groton, Connecticut and more recently was employed at
Perkins Marine in Essex. He most enjoyed boating in the local
waters, clamming and camping, having taken many long trips in his
camper.
He is survived by a daughter,
Charissa “Charlie” Young-Singleton and her husband Ronald Singleton
of Canton, NC; five step-grandchildren; three step-great
grandchildren; a brother Donald H. MacIntyre; two sisters, Andrea
MacIntyre and Charlotte “Puddy” MacIntyre; and a nephew, Corey
MacIntyre-Doyle, all of Essex.
Private burial arrangements are
under the direction of the Whittier-Porter Funeral Home of Ipswich.
A memorial service will be scheduled at a later date. In lieu of
flowers memorial contributions in his name may be made to Hospice of
the North Shore, Suite B-102, 75 Sylvan Street, Danvers, MA 01923.
