Richard R. Wilton, 85, beloved husband of Belva J. (Daubney)
Wilton of Gardner Street, Hamilton, died December 9, 2010 in the
Kaplan Family Hospice, Danvers following his long illness.
Born in Milford, December 5, 1925 he was the son of the late
Stanley M. and Sara (Lane) Wilton. Mr. Wilton was a Class of
1947 graduate of Harvard College, 1955 graduate of New York
University Business School and a 1961 graduate of Stonier School
of Banking. For several years he was employed at Guaranty Trust
of New York and from 1955 and until his retirement in 1990 he
served as the Vice President of Marketing with the First
National Bank of Boston. He also served as a trustee with the
Berklee College of Music, was his Harvard Class Treasurer, a
Treasurer of the Left Handed Golfers Association and was a
member of the First Church in Wenham.
In addition to his wife he is survived by three sons, Richard
Wilton of Marthas Vinyard, Craig Green and his wife Deborah of
Peabody and Mark Green of North Carolina; four daughters, Leslie
Lawton and her husband Barry of Winthrop, Melissa Wilton of
Holliston, Marilyn Hopkins and her husband Thomas of Tunisia and
Synda Green of Rockport and eleven
grandchildren.
His memorial
service will be
held Saturday, January 22 at 1:00 pm at First Church in Wenham.
Family and friends are respectfully welcomed. Arrangements under
