Pauline E. (St. Germaine)
Hein, 82, of Turnpike Road, Ipswich, wife of the late Kenneth F. Hein,
died Friday April 1, 2011 in her home following a brief illness.
Born in Oxford January 16, 1929 daughter of the late Joseph and Ethel
(Williams) St. Germaine, she was raised in Whitinsville, a graduate of
public schools.
Married on January 10,1948 the Heins made their home on Turnpike Road
where they raised five children. In her youth she was employed at
Raytheon in Waltham. She was later employed for more then twenty years
as a home health aide with the Visiting Nurse Association of the North
Shore. She was a proud recipient of the Ruby Holderness Award for her
outstanding service as a caregiver. She was a devoted and loving
grandmother. She enjoyed antiques and flea markets, and for many years
she and her husband operated a flea market from their Turnpike Road
address.
She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Ipswich.
She is survived by three sons, Jeffrey K. and Theodore F. Hein both of
Ipswich and Daniel E. Hein and his wife Susan of Salem, NH; two
daughters, Carol J. Ouellette and Patricia A. Gaudet both of Ipswich;
nine grandchildren, Kristin, Michael and Kenneth Hein, Angeline and
Jason Ouelette, Douglas, Matthew and Julie Gaudet and Aaron Saco, and
five great grandchildren.
Her funeral service will be held Tuesday, April 5, 11 am in the First
Presbyterian Church, 179 County Road, Ipswich, followed by interment in
the Cowles Memorial Cemetery. Visiting hours will be in the church on
Monday from 5 to 8 pm. Arrangements are under the direction of the
Whittier-Porter Funeral Home of Ipswich. Memorial contributions may be
