Nancy Scott Lebwohl, 59, wife
of Dr David J. Lebwohl of Topsfield, died Wednesday evening December
17, 2008 in her home following an extended illness.
Born in Boston, she was the
daughter of the late Frank Kenneth and Annette (Cutting) Scott. She
was raised in Arlington and was a graduate of local public schools
and Northeastern
University. She was
employed for many years as the office manager for the non-profit
Strongest Link. She was a loving mother and animal activist who
spent much of her spare time in various volunteer activities for
animals. She was a proud member of Red Sox Nation who was pleased to see
the World Series wins by her much loved team. She was a lifelong
Democrat and a strong supporter of their causes. She enjoyed
gardening, fly fishing, vacations in Key West and spent her final
years surrounded by her beloved dogs and family.
In addition to her husband she
is survived by her daughters, Keely Anne Bushey and her husband
Kenneth S. of Medford and Kendra Scott Lebwohl of Cambridge, and her
sisters, Martha Susan Scott and her husband Dann M. Paulo of
Amesbury and Barbara Scott Breaker and her husband Robert of Rowley.
She is also survived by a nephew, Kenneth Scott Paulo of Portland,
ME,
a niece, Katharine Scott Emery of Heidelberg, Germany, and an aunt,
Mary Kerhulas and cousin Jan Kerhulas, both of Arlington.
A
celebration of her life will be held Sunday January 11, 2009 at 2 pm
in the Ascension Memorial Church, 31 County Street, Ipswich. Family
and friends are respectfully welcomed. Arrangements by the
Whittier-Porter Funeral Home of Ipswich. In lieu of flowers, those
