Mildred L. Hulbert

Mildred L. “Mim” Hulbert, 95, of Fowler’s Lane,
Ipswich, wife of the late Arthur S. Hulbert, died Sunday, December 1, 2019
in the Masconomet Healthcare Center, Topsfield.
Born in Beverly in May 29, 1924 she was the
daughter of the late Albert A. and Fannie A. (Staples) Hutter. Raised in
Beverly, she was a 1942 graduate of Beverly High School and a graduate of
the Salem Commercial School. During the years of WWII she was employed in
the war effort at General Electric in Lynn. For the next four years she
worked at the Lester Sterling Insurance Agency in Beverly, marrying in
1947.
In 1950 the Hulberts built their home on Fowler’s
Lane where she has since resided. For forty-two years she was employed at
the Bernard Sullivan Insurance Agency in Ipswich, where “Mim” was a
familiar smiling face to hundreds, retiring in 1989. She served several
years as a volunteer with RSVP and at the Audubon Sanctuary in Topsfield
where she and her late husband Arthur organized and conducted sleigh rides
for visitors.
She is survived by a son, Douglas G. Hulbert and
his wife Sharon of Ipswich; two granddaughters, Jennifer Fowler of
Biddeford, ME and Amy Hulbert of Ipswich; a niece, Marjorie Hill of Miami,
FL and many great nephews and great nieces.
Her funeral service will be
11 am Wednesday, graveside in the Highland Cemetery, Town Farm Road,
Ipswich. Family and friends respectfully welcomed. Arrangements are under
the direction of the Whittier-Porter Funeral Home of Ipswich. In lieu of
flowers memorial contributions in her name may be made to Mass. Audubon,
Drumlin Farms,
