Margaret E. "Dolly"
Pendexter of Linebrook Road, Ipswich, wife of Earl F. Pendexter,
passed away on Friday, May 23, 2014 at the age of seventy-five.
Born on March 26, 1939
in Presque Isle, ME, she attended school in Maine and married
her High School sweetheart. They lived in Maine in her early
years and moved to Ipswich with three children where they have
since resided and raised their five daughters.
As a young entrepreneur,
she owned and operated the Asbury Grove Store and Restaurant for
five years. She later studied real estate and became an agent
working for many local companies, her most recent, Windhill
She enjoyed her family
and friends and had a smile for everyone. She loved chatting
with people about their lives and what mattered to them. She
always cared for others, and was ready to offer real advice and
a helpful hand. Her greatest love and devotion was for her
husband and her family. “Dolly” shared many talents through her
life and became most known for her passion of the art world.
She studied and practiced over many years to achieve the skill
and talent that produced the most beautiful and meaningful
paintings. Her artwork and her love for her family will remain
her legacy. Growing up on a farm, she had a love for animals,
especially horses. She was an avid gardener as she loved
flowers and birds and the peace and tranquility that it offered.
She loved to read and share books. She loved to travel,
especially to her favorite annual destination of the warm and
sunny climate of Aruba.
In addition to Earl,
the love of her life and husband of fifty-eight years, she is
survived by four daughters, Debbie Stansfield of Rowley, Pam
Paquin and her husband Brian of Ipswich, Elaine Baker and her
husband Jim of Ipswich, and Julie Pendexter of Ipswich; ten
grandchildren, Micah, Amber, Margaret, Wesley, Mindy, Ryan Lee,
Justin, Katelyn, Tabatha and Gwenyth, and many great
grandchildren. She is predeceased by her daughters Wendy and
Her funeral service will
be held 11 am Thursday, May 29 in the First Church in Ipswich,
One Meetinghouse Green, followed by interment in the New
Highland Cemetery, Ipswich., Family and friends are respectfully
welcomed. Visiting hours are Wednesday 5 to 8 pm in the
Whittier-Porter Funeral Home, 6 High Street, Ipswich. Memorial
