Margaret (Wilson) Loughridge, 90, wife of Frederick A.
Loughridge of Goldfinch Way, Ipswich, died Wednesday March 4,
2009 in the Caldwell Skilled Nursing and Rehab Center following
her long illness.
Born
October 12, 1918 in Falmouth Maine, she was the daughter of the
late Frank and Bell (Ingersol) Wilson. She was a graduate of
Falmouth High School and North Eastern Business School in
Portland, Maine. She was employed as a secretary at the
University of Cincinnati and at Proctor and Gamble International
while living in Ohio for many years. After relocating to New
England she worked in the legal department at Sylvania in
Danvers, where she met her future husband, an engineer. She
retired in 1971. Married that year in Manchester, the
Loughridges made their home near the ocean, on Great Neck in
Ipswich. She loved spending time tending her home gardens and
enjoyed reading novels and keeping up with current events. She
also enjoyed vacationing with her husband, traveling to Europe
and cruising in the Caribbean.
In
addition to her husband she is survived by a brother, Frank
Wilson, Jr of Falmouth, ME.
Her
funeral service will be held Monday 11 am in the Whittier-Porter
Funeral Home, 6 High Street, Ipswich. Family and friends
respectfully welcomed. Interment will follow in the Rosedale
Cemetery, Manchester. In lieu of flowers, those who wish may
