Mabel Del Flynn

Mabel Del Flynn, 82, of Beverly Hills, Florida,
longtime resident of Ipswich, died Thursday, December 17, 2009 in the
Seven Rivers Medical Center in Crystal River, Florida, following a
sudden illness. She was the wife of the late husband John F. Flynn who
died July 10, 2004.
Born in Rowley December 10, 1927, she was the
daughter of the late Mabel Leavitt. She was raised in Rowley and
attended local schools and was a graduate of Ipswich High School.
Married in 1946, The Flynns raised their family in Ipswich. For many
years, she worked as a cook for the Ipswich Public Schools. The Flynns
spent winters in Stuart, Fla. and summers in Rowley before moving to
Beverly Hills in 2001. Mabel was special to many and loved by all. She
was a cherished mother, grandmother, sister-in law aunt, and great
grandmother. Her smile and happy personality will be greatly missed. Our
comfort now is that she has gone to join her husband with whom she
shared 58 years of marriage. May she rest in peace.
She is survived by her sons, John Flynn Jr. and his
wife Mary of Bradford, and Thomas Flynn and his wife Robyn of
Wilmington, a daughter Colleen Souther and her husband Michael of
Beverly Hills, a sister-in-law, Katherine Atkinson of Ipswich, her
grandchildren, Matthew Flynn and his wife Carolyn of Waltham, Meghan
Mercier and her husband Chris of Palm Harbor FL, Holli (Flynn) Blais and
her husband Lee of Danvers, Shon Flynn and his wife Elaina of North
Andover, Michael and Kristine Nadeau of Billerica, Melissa and Steven
Moreira of Billerica, Kimberly Nadeau of Tewksbury, Heather (Souther)
Johns and her husband Wesley of Citrus Springs, FL, and Shane Souther of
Beverly Hills, niece Lori Low, nephew Brian Atkinson, and several great
grandchildren.
Her funeral service will be held Thursday December
31, 11 am at the Whittier-Porter Funeral Home, 6 High Street, Ipswich,
followed by interment in the Cowles Memorial Cemetery, Ipswich. Family
and friends are respectfully welcomed. In Visiting hours are Wednesday 4
to 8 pm. lieu of flowers, memorial
