Judith Y. (Hemeon) Knowlton, 72, of Longmeadow Drive, Ipswich, died
Friday, November 4, 2016 in Beverly Hospital following her sudden
illness.
Born in Melrose November 28, 1943, daughter of the late Kenneth E.
and Marie Y. (Portier) Hemeon, she was raised in Wakefield where she
was a graduate of public schools.
For several years Judith worked in the lunch room at the Doyon
School in Ipswich and later went on to own and operate the former
William’s Bakery in Ipswich. Most recently and for many years she
was employed as a cook at Seaview Retreat in Rowley.
She is survived by her fiancée’ Bruce Rose of Rowley; a son, Steven
D. Knowlton and his wife Kristin of Ipswich; a daughter, Christine
J. Knowlton of San Diego, CA; two grandchildren, Camryn and Jordyn
Knowlton both of Ipswich and a brother, Alan Hemeon of Wakefield.
Private arrangements are under the direction of the Whittier-Porter
Funeral Home of Ipswich.
