Joseph Laudarowicz

Joseph Laudarowicz, 102, of Topsfield Road, Ipswich, husband of the late Elizabeth F. (Tebo) Laudarowicz, died Sunday, October 14, 2012 in the Kaplan Family Hospice House, Danvers.

Born in Ipswich July 4, 1910 son of the late John and Anna (Furman) Laudarowicz, he was  lifelong Ipswich resident. Self employed, he was the owner and operator of the former Joe’s Bait & Tackle Shop which he ran for years from his Topsfield Road home. He loved fishing and will be remembered by the serious fisherman as the one who invented, made and sold thousands of tandem spinners so successful on local stripers.

He is survived by two sons, Richard Laudarowicz and his wife Marcia of Beverly Hills, Florida and Donald C. Laudarowicz of Ipswich; a daughter Patricia Crandall of  New Tazewell, Tennessee; four grandchildren, Christina Dennis, Greg, Jay and Michael Laudarowicz; two great grandchildren and many nephews and nieces. He was the brother of the late John and Barney Ledvarow, Wally Lawrence, Ann Johnson, Helen Campbell, Sophie Jaros and Jenny Sotwell.

Private funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Whittier-Porter Funeral Home of Ipswich. Memorial contributions in his name may be made to the Kaplan Family Hospice House, 78 Liberty St., Danvers, MA 01923.
