John
J. Waters, Jr., 56, husband of Debra J. (Carnevale) Waters of Fenno
Drive, Rowley, passed away unexpectedly Friday, March 16, 2018
in Ipswich following his sudden illness.
Born
in Stoneham August 16, 1961 he was the son of Dorothy L. (Marks)
Waters of Ipswich and the late John J. Waters, Sr. formerly of
Ipswich. John was raised in Ipswich where he attended the Ipswich
schools and went on to graduate from Whittier Vocational Technical
School. He enjoyed working with his late father John hauling fuel at
Waters Trucking Co. He later went on to work at the Gulf Oil
terminal in Chelsea. He loved taking his family camping and boating
and enjoyed the occasional joy ride on his motorcycle. He was well
known as Tank, Pappi, “G” and the Gentle Giant. John was an amazing
father to his three sons and father figure to many, who sought out
his guidance and friendship. He enjoyed being a grandfather to
Keegan and his little buddy Kodi. John was a devoted, loving husband
to his wife Debbie of thirty-three years.
In
addition to his wife he is survived by three sons, Jason Koch of PA,
Bradford Koch and his wife Jessica of Byfield, John J Waters, III
and his wife Elizabeth of Salisbury; four grandchildren, Shayna
Finocchiaro, Kaylin, Keegan and Kodi Koch; a brother, Kenneth Waters
of Ipswich; five sisters, Sharon Waters and her partner Gerome
Curcuru of Gloucester, Barbara Vinciguerra and her husband Tony of
Byfield, Diane Waters and her partner Paul Cogger of Somersworth,
NH, Cheryl Langlais and her husband Brian of Ipswich, Donna Knudtson
and her husband Lee of Kingston, NH, and his two beloved dogs Moose
and Max.
His funeral will be
held Thursday, March 22, 2018, 9 am from the Whittier-Porter
Funeral Home, 6
High St., Ipswich followed by the celebration of a
Funeral Mass of Christian Burial at 10 am in Our Lady of Hope,
Church, 1
Pineswamp Road, Ipswich.
Family and friends are respectfully welcomed. Visiting hours are
Wednesday 5 to 8 pm. In lieu of
