Jeanette June
Brown, 86, a long-time resident of Ipswich, died on Saturday,
January 22, 2011 at the Kaplan Family Hospice House in Danvers
following a brief illness.
Born in 1924 in
Winchendon, she was the daughter of the late Priscilla Ida (Caron)
and George C. Lupien. She attended Winchendon schools and North
Shore Community College. A bookkeeper by trade, she began her
career at Avon Products, Inc. as a district manager for the North
Shore. She worked for several car dealerships before opening Doc's
Dairy Dip in Essex in 1978 and later Accounting Associates with her
daughter in the 1990s. She also earned her student
pilot license and served as a Brownie Troop leader and Sunday School
teacher. She loved animals and was proud mother to Doodle, a
two-year old Silky Terrier.
She is survived by
her sister, Aline LaFalam of Winchendon; her son-in-law, John Waz of
Ipswich; her grandchildren, Deidre Johnson of Rowley and her husband
Richard, and Kyle Waz of Billerica and his wife, Cara; her great
grandchildren, Sydney Johnson and Dylan Johnson, both of Rowley; and
many nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her daughter, Donna
Jeanne Waz, formerly of Ipswich, and her brothers, Kenneth Lupien
and Joseph Lupien, both formerly of Winchendon.
A memorial funeral
service will be held at a later date. Arrangements are under the
direction of the Whittier-Porter Funeral Home of Ipswich.
