Grace S. (Stansfield) O’Donnell, 92, formerly of Danvers, Chebacco Terrace, Essex and Linebrook  Road, Ipswich , died Saturday November 14, 2009 in the Radius Healthcare Center, Danvers following her long illness. She was the wife of the late John B. O’Donnell and the late Gordon Graves.

Born in Lawrence April 8, 1917, daughter of the late Arthur and Margaret (Sellers) Stansfield, she was raised Danvers and was 1935 graduate of Danvers High School. For many years she was employed at Sylvania in Ipswich. She was an active member of the Essex Council on Aging. She enjoyed crocheting and painting in oils.

She is survived by a son, John W. Graves and his wife Victoria of Tampa, FL; two daughters, Margaret G. Davies-Tyler  and her husband Peter of Bath, ME and Bonnie J. Trojan and her husband Frank of Rangeley Plantation, ME; six grandchildren; a brother, Donald Stansfield of Rockport and several nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Arthur Stansfield of W. Peabody, Ernest Stansfield of Andover,  Mary Ryan of Barre, VT and William Stansfield of Peabody.

Her funeral service will be held  Saturday November 21 at 11 am  in the Whittier-Porter Funeral Home, 6 High Street, Ipswich. Family and friends are respectfully welcomed. Memorial contributions in her name may be made to  Ascension Memorial Church, 31 County Street, Ipswich, MA 01938.
