Frederick A. Moon,
48, of Londonderry, NH and formerly of Ipswich, died Wednesday April
6, 2011 in the Lahey Clinic, Burlington following his extended
illness.
Born in Ipswich
February 8, 1963, son of the late Arthur and Anne (Parsons) Moon,
he was raised in Ipswich and educated in local public schools. He
was employed at the former Captain Harry’s Seafood of Ipswich for
many years as a cook, and later worked as a sales manager at
Bemmister Pool Supply in Hampton, NH. Fred was an avid saltwater
fisherman, and enjoyed spending time with and cooking for his
friends and family.
He is survived by
his brothers Jack Moon and his wife Dayle of Ipswich and David Moon
and his companion Barbara of Rowley; his sisters Jane Madden and
her husband Robert of Kingston, NH, Cheryl Tefft of Salem, NH,
Sandra Silva and her husband Richard of Seabrook, NH; many nieces
and nephews and his longtime friend Deb Harrison and her children
Cody and Jade of Nashua, NH.
His funeral
service will be held 11 am Saturday April 16 in the Whittier-Porter
Funeral Home, 6 High Street, Ipswich followed by interment in the
Highland Cemetery, Ipswich. Family and friends are respectfully
welcomed. Visiting hours will precede the service from 9:30 to 11
am. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions in his name may be
made to the American Cancer Society, 30 Speen Street, Framingham, MA
