Elizabeth T. Hulbert, 91, longtime of Town Farm Road, Ipswich,
died Thursday October 16, 2008 in the Beverly Hospital following
her long illness.
Born in Peabody, November 16, 1916, the daughter of the late
Walter H. and Gladys I. (May) Hulbert she was raised in Ipswich,
attended public schools and the School of Fine Arts in Boston.
She was employed at Sylvania in Ipswich, from which she retired
after forty-two years of service. For many years she sang in
several North Shore choirs and with the choir of the Ascension
Memorial Church.
She was a member of the Sylvania Quarter Century Club and was a
lifelong member of the Ascension Memorial Church of Ipswich.
She is survived by three sister-in-laws, Alice Hulbert, Mildred
Hulbert and Helen Hulbert; two nephews, Douglas Hulbert and his
wife Sharon and Chuck Hulbert and his wife Marlene, all of
Ipswich; a niece, Sally Arledge and her husband Douglas of
Florida and many grand nephews and grand nieces. She was the
sister of the late Walter, Arthur and George Hulbert and aunt of
the late Susan Hulbert all of Ipswich.
Her funeral service will be held graveside Monday Oct. 20, 2008
11 am in the Cowles Memorial Cemetery, Ipswich. Family and
friends are respectfully welcomed. Arrangements are under the
direction of the Whittier-Porter Funeral Home of Ipswich.
