Dorothy G. (Price) LeBel, wife of the late
Ernest V. LeBel, passed away on Wednesday, Sept. 9, 2009.
Dorothy was the youngest daughter of the late Stephen and Caroline
(Fraser) Price of Essex. She was predeceased by her three
siblings,Florence Story, William Price, and Lillian Kingsley.
She was a loving and devoted wife to her husband of over 50 years;
Caring for him tirelessly resulting from him having been stricken
with polio as a young child. Dorothy was instrumental in his
rehabilitation teaching him to walk, drive and overcome countless,
almost insurmountable, physical challenges. Together, they enjoyed a
long, caring, and joyful partnership.
Born in Essex on Feb. 27, 1916, Dorothy was a lifelong resident of
Essex until moving to Florida upon retirement in 1969. She returned
to Essex following the passing of her husband in 1999 to spend her
remaining years with her many nieces and nephews and their families
with whom she had always remained extremely close.
Funeral arrangements were private.
