Charlotte Ann Weagle

Charlotte Ann Weagle, 83, longtime resident of Elm Street, Ipswich, died Tuesday, December 15, 2015 in the Beverly Hospital following her brief illness.

Born in Ipswich May 17, 1932, daughter of the late Charles G. and Maude H. (Tufts) Weagle, she was educated in Ipswich public schools. For over twenty-five years she was employed by the family of the late Dr. Arthur J. Grimes  helping with the child care in his family. Since 1983 and until her death in 2000 she cared for her late aunt Hattie W. Weagle. 

Charlotte was a very enthusiastic fan of the Boston Sports. She sat for hours cheering and hollering in front of the tv supporting her teams.

She will be lovingly remembered by everyone who ever knew her for her wonderful smile, laugh and giving nature. 

Charlotte  was a member of the former Martha Washington Rebeka Lodge of Ipswich, the Ipswich Golden Age Club and became a member of Immanuel Baptist Church on April 13, 1947, thus was a member of the church for sixty-eight  years. 

She is survived by a brother, Arthur B. Weagle and his wife Marilyn of Ipswich; two sisters, Jean Ellis and her husband Richard of Ipswich, Barbara M. Wilkins and her husband Gary of Pepperell and many nephews and nieces. She was the sister of the late Richard E. Weagle, twin brother Charles P. Weagle and Mary E. Weagle all formerly of Ipswich.

Her funeral service will be held 11 am Monday, December 21 in the Immanuel Baptist Church, 45 Central Street, Ipswich,  followed by interment in the Cowles Memorial Cemetery on Town Farm Road, Ipswich. Family and friends are respectfully welcomed. Visiting hours will be Sunday 4 to 8 pm in the Whittier-Porter Funeral Home, 6 High Street, Ipswich. Memorial contributions in her name may be made to the Immanuel Baptist Church, 45 Central Street, Ipswich, MA 01938.
