Candi Lyn (Stone)
Turner, 35, of Memorial Drive, Cambridge, died Tuesday, December 15,
2015 in the Mt. Auburn Hospital, Cambridge following her extended
illness.
Born in Ipswich
October 3, 1980, daughter of the late William and Eleanor (Tullercash)
Stone, she was raised in Ipswich, a 1998 graduate of Ipswich High
School. For several years Candi was employed as a veterinary
technician at the Ipswich Animal Hospital in Rowley. Her main
interest prior to her health issues was her love and involvement in
her children's lives. Together they enjoyed riding dirt bikes,
camping, boating, swimming, and cooking. She took great pride in her
homemaking skills and kept a spotless home. Candi always had the "I
can do it" attitude no matter what obstacles she encountered. She
was an avid sun worshipper, spending free time at the lake or beach.
Candi had a strong love and compassion for animals she loved her
work. She was also quite the fashionista and shared this passion
with her daughter. Candi's fiancé Paul was her "rock" as she would
often say. She loved her life and was determined to live as long as
possible, devoting her time to making memories with her family and
documenting each moment with photographs. She enjoyed sports and was
an avid fan of all the New England teams. Candi was the type of
person who developed lifelong relationships with people from her
childhood. She worked to increase funding and receive grants
for programs working with mother's coping with addictions. The
programs she worked with received significant grant money directly
due to her advocacy. Since leaving Ipswich she grew to love the city
life as she and Paul made their life in Cambridge, and had been
looking forward to the holidays, making plans with friends and
family. Candi’s greatest value was her wonderfully blended family
who will continue to love her.
She is survived by
her fiancée, Paul Poisson of Cambridge; two sons, William A. Turner
III and Hunter D. Turner both of Ipswich; a daughter, Haylo Poisson
of Cambridge; three brothers, William, Jeffrey and Peter Stone; two
sisters, Lisa Stone and Deborah Marston and special friends, Amanda
Silva of Gloucester, Jennifer Russell of Ipswich, Robert Turner of
Gloucester, Mike Turner of Gloucester, Dan Turner of Ipswich, Pat
and Diane Poisson, Daniel Poisson and Krysten and Marc Vermilyea
all of Cambridge.
A Celebration of Her
Life will be held January 16, 2016 from 5 to 7 pm in the Ipswich
VFW, 110 County Road. Friends and family are respectfully welcomed.
