Brian Ives, 57 of Hamilton, died Tuesday, June 28, 2011 at home with
his wife at his side after a courageous fight against cancer.
Born
in Springfield, Vermont in 1954, son of the late Roger and Betty
(Longo) Ives, Brian was a lover of nature. He traveled to numerous
mountain ranges to scale high ridges, sailed and explored the
celestial skies through his telescope.
Brian is survived by his wife, Deborah, his daughter Jessica whom he
loved dearly; his sister Andrea, her husband Parke Rublee and their
five children Noel, Pete, Mackenzi, Mia and Tamarat; mother-in-law
Julia Hurst, sisters-in-law Terri Needler and her husband Russell
and Andrea Roth and her daughter Rachel Alvarez; father-in-law John
Hurst and his wife Myra and many close friends who he was honored
to have in his life.
Visiting hours will be held Friday 4 to 7 pm in the Whittier-Porter
Funeral Home, 6 High Street, Ipswich. Family and friends are
respectfully welcomed. Interment at a later date will be private.
