Brian R. Doucette, 63, husband of
Lana T. (Keller) Doucette of Mulholland Drive, Ipswich, died Sunday
February 6, 2011 in the Kaplan Family Hospice House, Danvers,
following his long illness.
Born in Lynn, son of the late Roger
L. and Rose (Katz) Doucette, he was raised in Lynn and was a
graduate of Lynn English High School Class of 1965. Enlisting in the
Navy, he served during the Viet Nam era aboard the destroyer USS
Samuel B. Roberts. Following his honorable discharge and return to
Lynn he attended North Shore Community College. Married in 1977 the
Doucettes soon made their home on Stage Hill Road and for the for
the past eleven years on Mulholland Drive. Mr. Doucette was employed
by Coca-Cola of Lynn as a sales distributor and was later employed
as a sales distributor for Linden Myer-Monroe of Reading, from which
he retired in 2009.
Brian enjoyed fly-fishing and deer
hunting. An avid Red Sox and Patriots fan, he enjoyed watching pro
sports with his family and friends.
In addition to his wife of
thirty-three years he is survived by a daughter, Danielle P.
Doucette of Ipswich; four brothers, Paul Doucette of Seabrook, NH,
John and Roger Doucette both of Lynn, and Roy Doucette of Exeter,
NH; a sister, Janice Fessenden Doucette of Lynn, and many nephews
and nieces.
His Funeral Service will be held
Thursday 10 am in the Whittier-Porter Funeral Home, 6 High Street,
Ipswich, followed by interment with Military Honors in the Cowles
Memorial Cemetery, Ipswich. Family and friends are respectfully
welcomed. Visiting hours are Wednesday 4 to 8 pm with a service by
AMVETS Post #201 at 6:30 pm. Memorial contributions in his name may
