Bonnie B. (Bruce) Wolfe, 62, of Salisbury, wife of the late
Donald R. Wolfe, died Thursday, April 30, 2015 in her
childhood home in Essex following her brief illness.
Born in Gloucester March 24, 1953 she was the daughter of the
late A. Wilson MacCuish, Gladys (Mears) Bruce and Robert
Bruce. She was raised in Essex where she attended Essex
Elementary school and Gloucester High School, a member of the
graduating Class of 1971. She continued her education at the
former Bryant Stratton College in Boston. Married in 1972, the
Wolfes made their home and raised their family at their late
Pond Street address. For many years Bonnie was employed as a
bookkeeper at various North Shore businesses and most recently
Vynorius Co. in Salisbury. She enjoyed travel and the beaches
of the North Shore. She was an avid reader.
She is survived by two daughters, Amy DeMello and her husband
Rodrigo of Amesbury and Amanda “Mandi” Beane and her husband
Mark of Amesbury; four grandchildren, Samuel DeMello, Makenzie
Beane, Dominick Beane and Liliana DeMello all of Amesbury; two
brothers, Wally Bruce and his wife Jan of Essex, and Rob Bruce
and his wife Rachel of Lisbon, NH, one sister, Norrie Stavros
and her husband James of Essex, a brother-in-law Joe Bruce of
Caratunk, ME, a sister-in-law, Lois Rutter and her husband
George of Beverly, many nephews, nieces, grand nephews, a
grandniece, cousins and friends. She was the sister of the late
John Bruce and Martha Bruce both formerly of Essex, and the
late Amy Bruce formerly of Caratunk, ME.
Her funeral service will be held at 11 am Friday, May 8 in the
Whittier-Porter Funeral Home, 6 High St., Ipswich. Family and
friends are respectfully welcomed. Memorial contributions in her
name may be made to American Lung Association, 460 Totten Pond
Road, Suite 400, Waltham, MA 02451, or a charity of one’s
choice.
