Beverlee Ann Pugrabi, 68, of
Bent Avenue, Wayland, formerly of the North Shore, died Saturday, August
7, 2010 in the Caldwell Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Ipswich.
Born in Bridgeport, Connecticut,
June 28, 1942, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Agnes J. (Jesonis)
Pugrabi. Raised in Bridgeport, where she attended school, she went on
to attend Gordon College in Wenham, graduating in 1964 with a BA degree
in English. Following her graduation she went on to teach English in
Berlin, NH for two years, then to Masconomet High School, Topsfield, for
two years. She continued her education at Northeastern University where
she received her Masters of Arts degree. For many years she worked as
an editor and freelance photographer. She loved flowers and enjoyed
gardening. She also traveled whenever possible, going to Europe twice
with the Gordon College’s European Seminar group. She will be
remembered by her friends and colleagues for her wonderful sense of
humor, her extroverted and friendly personality, and her devotion to
“Honey Bunny” her pet rabbit.
Beverlee was a long-time member
of Christ Church in Hamilton. She is survived by her twin sister Alyce
Pugrabi, of Florida. She was the sister of the late Jeanette and
Charles Pugrabi.
A Memorial Service will be held
in the Chapel at Christ Church at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, September 11,
followed by the interment of the ashes in the St. Francis Memorial
Garden. A reception will then be held in the Preston Cutler Room. In
lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the MSPCA/Angell, 350 South
Huntington Avenue, Boston, MA 02130.
