Anne Elaine (Leneten)
Holland of Ipswich, born March 28, 1942, died September 1, 2008.
She graduated from Mary
Washington College in 1962 with a psychology degree. She was a
well-known and respected justice of the peace serving the community
for over 20 years. Mrs. Holland was also the first woman
harbormaster in Massachusetts, serving with her husband, Michael,
from 1980 to 1986.
She is survived by her
loving husband of 46 years, Michael C. Holland; two daughters,
Michelle and Stephanie Holland; a son and daughter-in-law,
Christopher and Susan Holland; and five grandchildren, Marko and
Aleks from daughter Michelle and Brooke, Kendall and Elizabeth
“Libby” from Christopher and Susan.Her mother, Helen Leneten and
sister Sandra Leneten reside in Newton. Her father, Col. Charles
Leneten resides in Somersworth, N.H
She will be missed by all.
A memorial in her honor will
be held Friday, September 5, 5-8 p.m. at Whittier-Porter Funeral
Home, 6 High St., Ipswich. Burial will be private.
